Welcome to your CHAPTER 11 - Referral
1. Write down 5–10 clients who:
- Always express how much they love your work
- Refer friends naturally
- What kind of referral reward would best fit each client’s personality or needs? (Ex: upgrade, free enhancement, credit, etc.)
Template:
- What is the reward for the referrer?
- What is the reward for the new client (if any)?
- How will you track it? (Spreadsheet, app, etc.
- How will you communicate it? (Card, email, sign, conversation?)
3. Sketch or design the back of your referral card or a mini-poster to place at your checkout counter or room door.
Include:
- Eye-catching phrase (Ex: “Bring a friend, get a reward!”)
- Simple benefit (Ex: “$25 off your next visit”)
- How to claim the reward
4. Imagine you’ve just finished a massage with a client who says, “That was amazing.” You have 5 minutes before they check out.
Your task:
- Use that compliment as a gateway to ask for a referral
- Practice your best short and sweet version
- Bonus: Tie it into rebooking AND a retail suggestion
5. Create 3 caption templates for clients to share on Instagram or Facebook after a session.
Example: “Just had the best massage ever with @MaciekMassage – my back hasn’t felt this good in weeks! Highly recommend. DM him for your appointment!”
Challenge: Create a “social media-friendly” version of your referral reward.
Ex: “Tag us + refer a friend → get a free upgrade on your next visit!”
- Why referrals are important?
- What makes a good referral program?
- How to ask for a referral in a non-pushy way?
Film yourself giving this talk and post it as an educational reel or story on your business page.
8. For the next 3 days:
- Ask every single client for a referral using one of your new scripts
- Offer a specific reward for this window (Ex: “Double referral credit if they reserve this week!”)
- Track your results and follow up with those who gave referrals
